Supreme Victory for 12 Years a Slave
The producer Brad Pitt accepted the statuette for this adaptation of Solomon Northup memories . The victory has a special significance for the British director Steve McQueen , who dedicated to the " 21 million people are still enslaved today." His film also won the Oscar for Best Screenplay (adaptation) , and actress Lupita Nyong'o Kenyan wins the Supporting Actress category .
September trophies for Gravity
